About the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology
The main objective of the faculty is to get you to complete your studies successfully within the stipulated period, having acquired skills sets that meet your needs and those of society, including industry and commerce. The Faculty also wishes to inculcate skills that you will need in order to start your own businesses and establish yourselves as service providers to local communities.
You are also encouraged to participate in extramural activities that are offered by the various student societies so that you may be exposed to the whole university experience. Once again, welcome to the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology. It is our hope that you will find your studies a stimulating and rewarding experience in 2019.

The faculty will be a leading centre offering a suitable wealth of innovative programmes to produce highly skilled graduates who will contribute to the eradication of poverty and and the creation of appropriate enterprises for sustainable development of local communities as well as the country as a whole.
Mission of the Faculty
In pursuit of its vision, the faculty will:
- Provide innovative teaching and learning methods, basic, applied and community-based research, and community partnerships with public and private enterprises.
- Provide affordable, appropriate, and career-focused academic programmes with a primary emphasis on science, engineering and technology studies.
